A Place Like This

Released in July 2014, A Place Like This served as the formal introduction of the Canadian duo Majid Jordan following their high-profile appearance on Drake's 'Hold On, We're Going Home.' This five-track EP solidified the 'OVO Sound' aesthetic: a blend of moody, nocturnal R&B and polished electronic production. Recorded primarily in Toronto, the project eschews the traditional hip-hop features of its label mates in favor of a self-contained, synth-pop influenced sound.
