Released in 2019, Agonizing Love represents a refined peak in Lonesome Wyatt's solo discography under the Holy Spooks moniker. While his work with Those Poor Bastards leans into aggressive 'gothic country' and 'doom-folk,' the Holy Spooks project is characterized by a softer, more melodic obsession with the Great American Songbook and early 20th-century pop.
