Before the shimmering synthesizers and global New Age stardom of the 1980s, the Brennan family and their uncles were masters of the Donegal folk tradition. This collection highlights their technical proficiency on instruments like the Celtic harp and wooden flute, but the true centerpiece is the vocal work. The harmonies are tight, familial, and haunting, delivered almost entirely in the Irish language.
