Released in May 2020, Bedroom is a 5-track EP that serves as a significant stylistic pivot for Belgian artist Selah Sue. Following a period of hiatus and the birth of her children, the record abandons the dense, electronic-tinged production of her previous LP, Reason, in favor of a purely acoustic and intimate approach. The EP was largely inspired by her experiences with motherhood and the newfound sense of peace found in her domestic life. Recorded with a 'close-mic' technique that emphasizes her unique vocal rasp, the project leans heavily into indie-folk and traditional soul territories.
