Belongs to the Dead

Released in 2006, 'Belongs to the Dead' serves as the debut full-length from Scranton, PA's Tigers Jaw. While the band would later become icons of the 'emo revival' with their 2008 self-titled follow-up, this record captures them in a much more experimental and lo-fi state. The lineup features Adam McIlwee (later of Wicca Phase Springs Eternal) and Ben Walsh, whose songwriting styles here lean more toward post-punk and skeletal indie rock than the pop-punk-adjacent sounds of their later career.
