Bikini Daze

Released in late 2013, Bikini Daze served as the critical bridge between MØ's early punk-influenced beginnings and her eventual ascent to global pop stardom. Produced largely by Ronni Vindahl of the Noisia-affiliated label Chess Club, the EP showcases a sophisticated use of vocal sampling and 'glitch' aesthetics that would become a hallmark of the mid-2010s alt-pop sound. While her debut album No Mythologies to Follow would expand on these themes, Bikini Daze remains a more concentrated, moody distillation of her 'neon-noir' persona.
