Released in 2016, Briton EP represents a refined distillation of Matt Howden's work under the Sieben moniker. While Sieben has long been associated with the neofolk and darkwave scenes, this release emphasizes the 'Briton' identity through themes of ancient heritage and psychogeography. The EP is built entirely on Howden's signature technique: using a loop pedal to layer violin motifs, vocal harmonies, and percussive 'body-knocks' on the instrument.
