Chord

Released in October 2010, Chord is an instrumental electronic album by British producer Lukid. The record represents a peak in his signature style of murky, submerged, and highly textured beatmaking. Drawing on elements of IDM, abstract hip-hop, dubstep, and ambient music, the album is built around heavily processed samples, pitch-warped synthesizers, and dusty tape saturation. Across its 11 tracks, Chord eschews the clean digital production of its era in favor of a warm, decaying analog aesthetic.
