Double Album

Double Album is a masterclass in the specific brand of self-aware punk rock that NOFX has spent decades perfecting. Despite the title being a characteristic practical joke, the music inside is anything but a throwaway. It serves as the lighter, more energetic companion to the previous year's Single Album, trading some of that record's darkness for the high-velocity technicality and biting wit that defined the band's 1990s peak. It feels like a victory lap taken at 180 beats per minute, where the jokes are mostly at the band's own expense.
