Dream Box

Released in 2023, Dream Box represents a unique entry in Pat Metheny's extensive discography, born from 'found' recordings he made while on tour. The album's title refers to his 'dream box' - a folder of forgotten sketches and improvisations that he rediscovered and decided to flesh out. The recording process was distinct: Metheny recorded initial harmonic frameworks on his electric guitar and then overdubbed melodic improvisations on top, effectively creating a series of duets with himself.
