Face Off

Released in December 2007, Face Off is a collaborative studio album between rapper Bow Wow and R&B singer Omarion. Coming off the heels of their successful single 'Let Me Hold You,' the project was designed to capitalize on their combined fanbases and cement their status as adult stars. Produced largely by T-Pain, Jermaine Dupri, and Bryan-Michael Cox, the album is a quintessential artifact of the late 2000s urban-pop sound. It debuted at number 11 on the Billboard 200 and was eventually certified Gold. Sonically, it bridges the gap between the melodic 'lover boy' rap Bow Wow was known for and the more aggressive, Southern-influenced club sounds emerging at the time.
