Released in 1981, For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) serves as the grand finale of the band's trilogy with producer Robert John 'Mutt' Lange. Following the monumental success of Back in Black, the band retreated to a rehearsal space outside Paris to capture a more deliberate, heavy sound. The recording process was famously meticulous, with Lange pushing for a sonic density that surpassed their previous work. This resulted in the band's first number-one album in the United States, a feat they wouldn't repeat for nearly three decades.
