Get Your Wings

Released in 1974, Get Your Wings marks the beginning of the most fertile period in Aerosmith's career, primarily due to the arrival of producer Jack Douglas. Douglas brought a New York sensibility - honed by his work with the New York Dolls and the Record Plant scene - to the band's Boston-bred blues-rock. This collaboration refined their sound into something tighter and more distinctive than their debut. The album is notable for introducing the band's iconic winged logo and for its inclusion of 'Train Kept A-Rollin', a cover that became a live staple.
