Give Me Power

Give Me Power! (also known as 'Saikyou no Chikara' in its original Japanese context) marks the official debut stage performance of SNH48, the Shanghai-based sister group of AKB48. Recorded and performed in early 2013 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Hall, the album serves as a Mandarin-language revival of AKB48 Team K's 4th Stage. Sonically, it is a dense, high-energy pop record that bridges the gap between Japanese idol structures and Mandarin vocal delivery. The album is significant for establishing the 'theater idol' sound in mainland China, characterized by synchronized group vocals, high-BPM synth-pop, and rock-influenced guitar undercurrents.
