Released in 2005 to mark the tenth anniversary of their debut, Home represents a significant pivot for The Corrs. Moving away from the polished pop-rock of 'In Blue' and 'Borrowed Heaven', the band collaborated with producer Mitchell Froom to record a collection of traditional Irish songs and carefully selected covers. The project was deeply personal, based on a list of songs found in their deceased mother's songbook. The album features two tracks sung entirely in Irish and three traditional instrumentals, showcasing the band's technical proficiency on the fiddle and tin whistle. While it was less commercially successful than their previous pop efforts, it was praised by critics for its authenticity and for abandoning the pursuit of American radio trends. It stands as a mature, heritage-focused bookend to their initial decade of stardom.
