Released in July 2020 on his own Hessle Audio imprint, Like This represents Pangaea (Kevin McAuley) refining his signature blend of UK bass and techno. While his earlier work often leaned into the darker, more experimental fringes of dubstep, this EP showcases a more streamlined, high-energy approach suited for contemporary club environments. The title track, appearing in both a 'Full Mix' and a more aggressive 'Volt Mix,' centers on a distinctive vocal chop that became a staple in DJ sets during the return to dance floors. The B-side, 'Midnight Plane,' offers a more atmospheric, rolling techno experience that highlights McAuley's ability to create deep, immersive soundscapes without sacrificing rhythmic intensity.
