Lite

Released in 2000 on the Mitek label, Lite represents a pivotal moment in Mikael Stavöstrand's transition from industrial and power electronics toward the burgeoning minimal techno and glitch scenes of the era. While his earlier work leaned into the aggressive and abrasive, Lite is an exercise in extreme restraint. The album is composed of eleven tracks (including the 'RMX') that function as variations on a theme of digital reduction.
