Nachthymnen (From the Twilight Kingdom) is the second full-length album by Austrian black metal pioneers Abigor, recorded at the legendary Tonstudio Hörnix in 1995. This record represents a pivotal moment in the 'Second Wave' of black metal, moving away from the lo-fi aesthetics of the Norwegian scene toward a more technical, layered, and 'Habsburg' style of melodic aggression. The lineup features the core duo of P.K. and T.T. handling the complex instrumental duties, with Silenius (of Summoning fame) providing his signature tortured vocals.
