Payin’ the Dues

Released in 1997, Payin' the Dues is the second studio album by The Hellacopters and is widely considered the cornerstone of the 'Action Rock' movement. While their debut, Supershitty to the Max!, was a lo-fi punk explosion, this follow-up introduced a more sophisticated appreciation for 1970s hard rock and Detroit garage influences like MC5 and The Stooges. Recorded during a period of intense creative output, the album features the classic lineup including guitarist Dregen before his departure to focus on Backyard Babies.
