R.O.O.T.S. (Route of Overcoming the Struggle) is Flo Rida's second studio album, released at the height of his commercial dominance in 2009. Following the massive success of Mail on Sunday, this record solidified his role as the primary bridge between Southern hip-hop and global dance-pop. The album is most notable for its heavy use of high-profile interpolations, most famously 'Right Round,' which broke digital sales records by sampling Dead or Alive. Musically, it features production from heavyweights like Dr. Luke, Jim Jonsin, and Benny Blanco, resulting in a sound that is exceptionally polished and 'loud.'
