Saving Grace represents the culmination of Robert Plant's decade-long immersion into acoustic roots and Americana, specifically through his touring collective of the same name. Released in late 2025, the album eschews original compositions in favor of a curated selection of covers that span Appalachian folk, traditional British balladry, and American gospel. Recorded with Suzi Dian, the album is defined by its dual-vocal architecture and a 'low-wattage' philosophy that prioritizes texture over volume. Unlike his work with the Sensational Space Shifters, which often blended world music with trip-hop elements, Saving Grace is strictly organic, leaning heavily on banjo, mandolin, and upright bass.
