This resulted in the inclusion of a more consistent rhythm section, which pushed the band's chamber folk roots toward a more driving, Americana-influenced sound. Recorded in a converted barn in Oregon, the album captures a specific sense of place, blending the sophisticated string arrangements of Nathan Crockett and Dustin Dybvig with Ringle's signature breathy tenor.
