Spirityouall

Released in 2013, Spirityouall represents a significant stylistic pivot for Bobby McFerrin, moving away from the pure vocal improvisation of his earlier career toward a structured, Americana-influenced exploration of spirituals. The album is a tribute to his father, Robert McFerrin Sr., who was the first African-American soloist at the Metropolitan Opera and recorded an album of spirituals in 1957.
