Released in 2022 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the group's signing to Motown, Temptations 60 serves as both a retrospective and a contemporary statement. Led by the sole surviving original member, Otis Williams, the album features a collaboration with longtime associate Smokey Robinson on the lead single 'Is It Gonna Be Yes or No'. The record is notable for its stylistic breadth, ranging from the socially conscious 'Time for the People' to a sprawling, six-minute re-recording of their early doo-wop track 'Come On'. While the production occasionally leans into 'middle of the road' adult contemporary territory, the vocal performances remain the centerpiece, showcasing the group's enduring ability to execute complex five-part harmonies. It marks the only appearance of Mario Corbino in the lineup and stands as a testament to the group's resilience through decades of lineup changes and industry shifts.
