Unbreakable

Released in early 2013, Unbreakable served as a strategic precursor to the full-length album Nemesis. It marked a significant point in Stratovarius's 'post-Tolkki' era, further solidifying the lineup featuring guitarist Matias Kupiainen and drummer Rolf Pilve. The EP includes the title track alongside remastered versions of classic tracks like 'Falling Star' and 'Freedom,' providing a bridge between the band's storied past and their modernized, more electronic-influenced future. Critics noted that the title track represented one of the strongest pop-metal sensibilities the band had ever displayed, moving away from pure neoclassical shredding toward a more 'stadium rock' feel. The production is notably 'hi-fi,' utilizing modern digital clarity to separate the dense layers of synthesizers and guitars.
