Released in early 1998, Vuelve served as the critical bridge between Ricky Martin's success in the Spanish-speaking world and his impending global superstardom. Produced largely by K.C. Porter and Robi Draco Rosa, the album refined the 'Latin Pop' sound by integrating traditional Caribbean rhythms like bomba and plena with rock-inflected arrangements and high-gloss pop production.
