Intro

Abel Pintos creates a sound that is both deeply rooted in the Argentine soil and polished for the global stage. His music feels like a warm embrace, characterized by organic instrumentation like acoustic guitars and soft percussion, layered with modern pop sensibilities that make every chorus feel like an anthem. There is a luminous quality to his production, often evoking the wide-open spaces of South America.

What truly sets him apart is his vocal trajectory. Starting as a child prodigy in traditional folklore, he has retained that rhythmic DNA while developing a sophisticated pop vocal style. He moves effortlessly from intimate, whispered verses to powerful, soaring high notes that carry a sense of spiritual yearning. It is music that prioritizes emotional clarity and melodic beauty over complex artifice.

For those new to his work, Sueño Dorado is the essential starting point. This live recording captures the transition from his folk origins to his pop-star present, showcasing his charisma and the sheer scale of his voice. It is the perfect soundtrack for moments that require both vulnerability and a sense of triumph.

Abel Federico Pintos (born May 11, 1984) is an Argentine singer-songwriter. He started his solo career at the age of 13 with his album Para cantar he nacido (I Was Born To Sing), supported financially by León Gieco. After the release of four studio albums, he started writing his own songs that marked a departure from his folk style. He rose to prominence with La llave (The Key), although the CD and DVD Sueño dorado (Golden Dream), which marked fifteen years in the music industry, was his best-selling record of 2012. Along with artists such as Soledad Pastorutti and Luciano Pereyra, Pintos has been dubbed as a promising rising star of Argentine folk music. He was awarded the Gold Gardel prize for his CD and DVD Sueño Dorado.
