Abidaz

Abidaz, born Jonathan Ghebil, is a central figure in the evolution of Swedish hip-hop, specifically the 'ortens favoriter' (neighborhood favorites) movement. Emerging from Solna, he first gained traction as part of the duo Chapee & Abidaz before launching a solo career that would fundamentally shift the aesthetic of Swedish rap toward a more aggressive, trap-influenced sound.

His 2013 debut solo album, 'In & ut', is widely considered a modern classic in the region, earning him a P3 Gold award and critical comparisons to the gritty realism of early New York street rap, albeit with a distinctly Scandinavian electronic polish.
