Alister

Alister is a cornerstone of the Serbian metal scene, originating in Jagodina in 2001. Initially emerging from the ashes of Poltergeist, the band quickly established a sound that bridged the gap between 80s thrash (Metallica, Testament) and 90s melodic death metal.

Their debut, 'Obscurity', showcased a high-speed, aggressive approach, while subsequent releases like 'Memories and Dreams' introduced more classic heavy metal vocal styles and melodic sensibilities. The band has maintained a strong regional presence, winning major contests like Gitarijada Jagodina and sharing stages with international acts like Paul Di'Anno. Their work is characterized by a close collaboration with members of Alogia and Psychoparadox, cementing their place within the broader Balkan metal ecosystem. Critically, they are respected for maintaining the integrity of traditional thrash while evolving their harmonic palette over two decades.
