Andromida

Andromida is the solo project of Ramon Gutierrez, a multi-instrumentalist based in Pittsburgh. Emerging in 2016 with the debut 'Celestial', the project quickly established itself within the 'bedroom djent' movement, characterized by high-quality home production and a focus on instrumental technicality.

The sound identity is built on the intersection of modern progressive metalcore and cinematic sound design. Gutierrez utilizes extended-range guitars to achieve the percussive, low-end 'chug' central to djent, while integrating sophisticated synth programming that recalls industrial and darkwave aesthetics. Over a prolific release schedule, the project has evolved from pure space-themed prog toward a more aggressive, dystopian sound, notably on albums like 'Hellscape' and 'Artificial Life'.
