Archgoat

Archgoat sounds like the earth cracking open to reveal a subterranean cathedral. It is thick, suffocating, and remarkably primitive, eschewing the symphonic polish of their peers for a sound that is almost tactile in its filth. The guitars are a wall of down-tuned sludge, while the drums provide a relentless, caveman-like battery that feels more like a physical assault than a rhythm section.

What truly sets them apart is the vocal delivery of Lord Angelslayer. Eschewing the typical high-pitched shrieks of black metal, he employs a deep, gurgling grunt that sounds like it’s rising from the bottom of a well.
