High-voltage Australian electro that hits like a lightning strike. Aggressive synths, live drums, and shouted hooks built for the peak of a festival set.
Art vs. Science sounds like a chemical reaction between a punk band and a vintage synthesizer collection. Their music is defined by a relentless, propulsive energy that refuses to sit still, characterized by jagged synth lines and live drumming that gives their electronic foundation a physical, muscular weight. It is loud, unapologetic, and designed to be experienced at maximum volume in a room full of people.
What truly sets them apart is their commitment to the 'live' aspect of electronic music. Instead of leaning on pre-programmed loops, they attack their instruments with a rock-and-roll ferocity, blending absurd, surrealist lyrics about magic fountains and space travel with sophisticated dance arrangements. There is a sense of humor and playfulness here that balances out the sheer intensity of their sonic palette.
Start with their self-titled EP or 'The Experiment' to hear them at their most iconic. Tracks like 'Magic Fountain' and 'Parlez-vous Francais?' serve as the perfect entry points into their world of high-concept dance-pop and distorted electro-house grit.
