Dense, swirling walls of analog synth noise that feel like a radio transmission from the edge of a black hole. Intense, cosmic, and deeply psychedelic.
Formed in Japan in 1993, Astro is a noise music project founded by Hiroshi Hasegawa, formerly of C.C.C.C. Hasegawa utilizes vintage analog gear, such as EMS and Moog synthesizers, to explore diverse sonic territories ranging from space-themed compositions to harsh, psychedelic noise. Since 2013, the project has operated as a duo featuring Hasegawa and Rohco, who has contributed to the group's performances since 2009.
