Polished Lithuanian pop with a soft, breathy vocal delivery. Shimmering synths and nostalgic melodies that feel like a warm summer evening in the early 2000s.
Atlanta captures the quintessential sound of Baltic pop from the turn of the millennium. Her music is characterized by a distinctive softness, led by Elena Puidokaitė's breathy, airy vocals that glide over clean, synth-driven arrangements. It is music that feels both light and deeply sentimental, striking a balance between danceable Europop rhythms and the wistful emotionality of a classic ballad.
What sets her apart is the specific production aesthetic of the early 2000s Lithuanian scene, particularly her collaborations with influential figures like Igoris Kofas and Andrius Mamontovas. These tracks often feature shimmering keyboard layers and precise drum programming that provide a polished, radio-ready backdrop for her intimate storytelling. There is a gentle, unhurried quality to her delivery even on more upbeat tracks, creating a sense of effortless charm.
Listeners looking to dive in should start with her debut album, Mergaitės nori mylėti. It perfectly encapsulates the era's optimism and melodic sensibility. For those seeking a more mature, refined sound, her later work like Jaunystė offers a sophisticated take on the Europop formula, blending contemporary textures with timeless pop songwriting.
Elena Puidokaitė (better known by her stage name Atlanta; born 5 April 1981) is a Lithuanian pop singer. She made her debut in 1998, when the music manager Martynas Tyla offered her to join the new band "Cushions". Their most successful hit "Winter" was recorded with Atlanta. Atlanta's first two solo's, "Never" and new version of Lemon Joy song "White City" were recorded in “Zymozek Sonic” studio with Algis Drėma's help. Also that group singer Igoris Kofas created the first hit "And Girls want to love" music. Atlanta debuted with album “Girls want to love” in August 2001. She created a new version of old song "Swallows, swallows" with Andrius Mamontovas, when the second album "The wind told me" has just appeared.
