Autolux is a seminal Los Angeles trio consisting of Eugene Goreshter, Greg Edwards (formerly of Failure), and Carla Azar. Formed in 2000, they emerged as a sophisticated evolution of the 90s space-rock and shoegaze movements, stripping away the excess and replacing it with a lean, avant-garde sensibility.
Their sound identity is defined by a unique interplay between Azar's highly technical, Liebezeit-influenced percussion and Goreshter’s melodic, often lead-driven bass lines.
