Badlands

Badlands is the solo project of Swedish producer and sound designer Catharina Jaunviksna. Emerging from the vibrant Swedish electronic scene, Jaunviksna's work is characterized by a rigorous DIY ethos; she serves as the sole writer, producer, and mixer for her catalog.

Her sound identity is a sophisticated fusion of post-punk gloom, warehouse techno textures, and ethereal dream pop. This unique blend is informed by her formal training at the National Film School of Denmark, which she left to pursue music, bringing a cinematic approach to sound design into her compositions.
