Bermuda Triangle

Bermuda Triangle is a Norwegian electronic collective formed in 2001, primarily recognized for their sophisticated blending of house, breakbeat, and alternative rock. Their early work, exemplified by the 2003 debut 'Mooger Fooger', gained significant international traction after being championed by progressive house icon John Digweed.

This era of their sound was characterized by 'epic house' arrangements and a deep exploration of analog synthesis. By their second album, '33rpm' (2006), the project shifted toward a darker, more aggressive aesthetic, incorporating guest vocalists from prominent Norwegian industrial and rock bands like Animal Alpha and Seigmen. This evolution moved them away from pure dancefloor utility toward a 'crossover' sound that challenged genre boundaries. Critically, they are viewed as a bridge between the polished progressive house of the early 2000s and the more experimental, vocal-driven electronica that emerged later in the decade. Their influence is felt most strongly in the Norwegian 'elektrostat' scene, where the intersection of club culture and dark alternative music is most prominent.
