Formed in Cambridgeshire in 2018, Black Country, New Road is a United Kingdom-based ensemble blending indie, post-rock, alternative, and chamber pop. The group gained early recognition with singles like "Athens, France" and "Sunglasses." Their critically lauded debut, For the First Time, earned a Mercury Prize nomination. Despite the departure of lead vocalist Isaac Wood shortly before their successful 2022 sophomore release, the band remains a significant force in contemporary rock.
