Their 1998 debut, 'Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star', is a landmark of the genre, featuring production from Hi-Tek and 88-Keys that utilized warm analog samples and organic textures. After a twenty-four year hiatus from studio albums, they returned in 2022 with 'No Fear of Time', produced entirely by Madlib, which showcased a more experimental, non-linear approach to song structure.
