Formed in Tokyo in 1992, the Japanese band Boris explores a diverse sonic landscape incorporating stoner rock, drone, noise, and sludge metal. The quartet, featuring members Atsuo, Takeshi, Wata, and Nagata, maintains a prolific output with over 20 studio albums. Known for their expansive collaborative projects, the group has worked with artists including Merzbow and Sunn O))). Boris continues to release music through labels such as Southern Lord Records.
