Sleek, cinematic Italo disco that feels like a 1970s horror film soundtracked for a modern dancefloor. Retro-futurist synths for late-night city drives.
Bottin creates a sound that is simultaneously high-fashion and delightfully campy, rooted deeply in the rich history of Italian electronic music. It is the sound of a vintage Ferrari speeding through a neon-lit Venice, blending the rhythmic drive of 1970s disco with the eerie, atmospheric tension of Giallo cinema. The music feels expensive and curated, yet it never loses the infectious, hip-swaying groove that defines the best dance music.
What sets him apart is his scholarly approach to retro-futurism. He doesn't just copy old synth sounds; he reconstructs the emotional landscape of the past using analog gear and a sound designer's precision. There is a specific 'kitsch' quality here that is handled with absolute cool, making the music work just as well in a boutique hotel lobby as it does in a sweaty underground club.
Start with Horror Disco to experience his most cohesive vision. It perfectly captures the intersection of dancefloor euphoria and cinematic dread. From there, explore his remixes to see how he injects his signature Venetian elegance into contemporary pop and electronic tracks.
