Broen

Broen is a Norwegian five-piece ensemble that emerged from the fertile Trondheim jazz scene, though they have largely discarded traditional jazz structures in favor of a genre-fluid 'art-pop' identity. The band is a supergroup of sorts within the Norwegian underground, featuring members of Skrap and Moskus.

Their sound identity is built on a unique instrumentation, most notably the use of Heida Mobeck's tuba to provide melodic basslines that give the music a distinctively rounded, organic low-end.
