Chapeaumelon is a Montreal-based quartet that emerged during the early 2000s garage rock revival, distinguishing themselves through a French-language interpretation of 1960s mod and beat music aesthetics. Led by Charles Boyer, the band's sound is characterized by a heavy reliance on vintage guitar tones, snappy percussion, and a melodic sensibility deeply indebted to The Who and The Kinks.

They achieved significant international exposure via the 2004 film Eurotrip, which featured their French cover of 'My Generation' and the original track 'Nonchalant (Sofa)'.
