Intro

Cidny Bullens creates music that feels like a conversation with a survivor. There is a specific, lived-in quality to the sound, blending the punchy, melodic hooks of late-70s power pop with the earthy, grounded sensibilities of modern Americana. It is music that carries the weight of history, yet never loses its forward-moving momentum.

What truly distinguishes Bullens is the evolution of the vocal delivery. From the high-energy, theatrical contributions to the Grease soundtrack to the gravelly, emotionally naked albums of the 1990s and beyond, the voice serves as a vessel for radical honesty. The transition from Cindy to Cidny adds a profound layer of identity and self-actualization to the later work, making the discography a rare document of a life fully lived.

Start with 'Desire Wire' to hear the quintessential 1970s rock energy that earned Grammy nods, then move to 'Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth' to experience one of the most moving explorations of grief ever put to tape. It is a journey from the spotlight of the stage to the truth of the soul.
