Coldfinger

Coldfinger is a pivotal Portuguese electronic project formed in the late 1990s, primarily centered around the creative partnership of vocalist Margarida Pinto and producer Miguel Cardona. Emerging during the global peak of trip-hop, they successfully localized the genre's moody, sample-driven aesthetic within the Portuguese indie scene.

Their sound identity is characterized by a sophisticated blend of downtempo electronics, nu-jazz instrumentation, and Pinto's distinctive breathy vocal delivery, which often draws comparisons to Portishead or Morcheeba but with a warmer, more Mediterranean melodic sensibility.
