Current Joys is the solo project of Nicholas Rattigan, a prolific multi-instrumentalist also known as the co-founder of Surf Curse. Emerging from the Reno and Las Vegas DIY scenes before relocating to Los Angeles, Rattigan's work as Current Joys (and formerly TELE/VISIONS) is a cornerstone of the 2010s bedroom pop movement.
His sound identity is defined by a 'cinema-vérité' approach to songwriting, utilizing repetitive loops and lo-fi textures to evoke a sense of timelessness and nostalgia.
