Intro

Dallas Superstars represent the pinnacle of the high-gloss, melodic club sound that emerged from Finland in the early 2000s. Their music is characterized by massive, soaring synthesizer leads, driving percussion, and a sense of boundless optimism. It is the sound of a perfectly calibrated sound system in a cavernous warehouse, where every frequency is polished to a mirror shine. The energy is consistently high, leaning into the 'uplifting' side of trance while maintaining the rhythmic accessibility of house.

What truly sets them apart is the production pedigree of JS16 and Heikki L. They avoid the murkiness of underground techno in favor of a 'stadium' aesthetic. You'll hear meticulous side-chaining that makes the bass breathe against the kick drum, and crystalline high-end textures that feel like they're cutting through ice. It's music designed for movement, specifically the kind of movement that happens under strobe lights or at high speeds on an open road.

To get the full experience, start with their breakout hit 'Helium' or the high-speed rush of 'Fast Driving.' These tracks encapsulate their ability to blend pop-sensibility with club-ready dynamics. If you're looking for something that feels like a time capsule of 2003's most polished dancefloors, their debut album 'Flash' is the essential document.

Dallas Superstars is a Finnish Electronic music duo of Heikki "Bostik" Liimatainen and Jaakko "JS16" Salovaara, noted for internationally charting dance club hit, "Helium" of 2002. The achievement of this single (which came to #3 on the Finnish move outline) provoked further arrivals of Fast Driving, Ready To Go, I Feel Love (a revamp of the Donna Summer exemplary) and Crazy, and the collection from which these tracks came. In 2006 they delivered their subsequent collection called Higher State.
