S.) is a pivotal post-hardcore supergroup that emerged in 2010 as a vehicle for Craig Owens following his initial departure from Chiodos.
The original lineup was a 'who's who' of the scene, featuring members from From First to Last, Matchbook Romance, Story of the Year, and Underminded. This pedigree resulted in a sound that was more technically proficient and structurally complex than many of their contemporaries. Their 2011 debut is considered a landmark of the 'Screamo' transition into mainstream alternative rock, characterized by its high production values and Owens' signature vocal range. After a lengthy hiatus and various lineup changes, Owens revived the project in 2020, shifting toward a heavier, more metalcore-influenced sound while maintaining the melodic core. Critically, they are noted for their ability to merge spiteful, confessional lyrics with arena-sized arrangements.
