Formed in Osaka in 1997, the Japanese band Dir En Grey has established a long-standing career within the heavy metal scene. Currently signed to the Free-Will label, the group features bassist Toshiya alongside a consistent lineup of four other members. Throughout their tenure, they have produced eleven studio albums, evolving from their visual kei origins into a complex sound that incorporates elements of progressive, alternative, and extreme metal styles.
