Do or Die

Do or Die is a cornerstone of the Belgian hardcore (H8000-adjacent) scene, formed in 1999. While often confused with the Chicago hip-hop trio of the same name, this ensemble is defined by a high-energy blend of metalcore and thrash-influenced hardcore punk.

Led by founder Chris, the band established a reputation for tireless touring across the Benelux region and France, sharing stages with genre titans like Hatebreed and Biohazard. Their sound identity is characterized by 'beatdown' elements, heavy palm-muted riffing, and a vocal delivery that favors raw aggression over melody. Despite significant lineup shifts in 2003, the band maintained a prolific output through the 2000s and 2010s, evolving their production from the lo-fi grit of 'Tears of Rage' to the more polished, metallic density seen on later albums like 'Crows'. They remain a vital representative of the 'I Scream Records' era of European heavy music.
